Build with JZ is the controller for personal information collected when you buy or request support for the Accountant Suite Migration Prompt Kit. For privacy requests, contact the designated privacy contact at hello@withjz.com with the subject line "Privacy request". Build with JZ has not appointed a data protection officer because this static digital product does not involve large-scale monitoring or special-category processing by us.
We receive limited information needed to sell and support the kit:
| Processing activity | Purpose | Legal basis |
|---|---|---|
| Checkout and delivery | Process payment, confirm purchase, redirect to delivery, provide the ZIP/PDF kit, and maintain transaction records. | Contract necessity under GDPR Article 6(1)(b); legal obligation where tax/accounting records must be retained under Article 6(1)(c). |
| Support and refund requests | Respond to questions, investigate delivery problems, process refund requests, and document outcomes. | Contract necessity under Article 6(1)(b) and legitimate interests under Article 6(1)(f) in operating support and preventing abuse. |
| Security and fraud prevention | Protect checkout, delivery links, payment records, and static download paths from misuse or unauthorized access. | Legitimate interests under Article 6(1)(f); legal obligation where payment or anti-fraud rules require recordkeeping. |
| Analytics and cookies | Measure page performance, checkout flow reliability, and basic marketing effectiveness without asking buyers to upload client data. | Legitimate interests under Article 6(1)(f) for privacy-light measurement; consent where required for non-essential cookies. |
Stripe processes payment details, checkout cookies, fraud-prevention signals, and payment records under Stripe's own terms and privacy notices. Build with JZ does not receive full card numbers. Email providers, hosting providers, and analytics providers may process limited data needed to deliver the site, answer support, and maintain security.
Stripe, hosting, support, and analytics providers may process personal information outside your country, including in the United States. Where GDPR or UK GDPR applies, transfers rely on adequacy decisions, Standard Contractual Clauses, the UK International Data Transfer Addendum, or equivalent transfer safeguards used by the relevant processor.
| Record type | Typical retention |
|---|---|
| Checkout, payment, delivery, invoice, and refund records | Up to 7 years where needed for tax, accounting, chargeback, and legal recordkeeping. |
| Support and refund emails | Up to 24 months after the last interaction, unless a dispute, chargeback, or legal obligation requires longer retention. |
| Security logs and delivery access logs | Usually 90 to 180 days, unless needed to investigate abuse, fraud, payment disputes, or security incidents. |
| Analytics and cookie-derived records | Aggregate analytics are kept only as long as useful for product and page performance review; cookie retention depends on Stripe or the relevant analytics provider settings. |
If GDPR or UK GDPR applies, you may request access, rectification, erasure, portability, restriction, objection to processing based on legitimate interests, and withdrawal of consent where processing relies on consent. You may also complain to your local supervisory authority. To exercise a right, email hello@withjz.com. We may need to verify your purchase email before acting on a request.
For California residents, the categories collected are identifiers, commercial information, internet or electronic network activity, and support-message content you choose to send. We use these categories for checkout, delivery, support, refunds, security, fraud prevention, and basic analytics. We do not sell personal information and do not share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. You may request access, deletion, correction, and information about categories collected and disclosed. You will not be discriminated against for exercising privacy rights.
The kit may help you think through accounting workflow operations, but Build with JZ does not ask for or need client books, payroll records, tax files, health information, government IDs, bank exports, or other sensitive records. If you include that information in a support email, we will not use it to provide professional advice and may delete or redact it where practical.
The static product page does not require an account. Stripe checkout uses cookies and similar technologies for payment, fraud prevention, and session handling. If first-party analytics are active on the landing page, they are used to understand page traffic and conversion performance; they are not used to profile accounting clients or process buyer-uploaded client data. Browser settings and Stripe's own controls may let you limit cookies, though some checkout cookies are necessary for payment.
Build with JZ is independent and is not affiliated with Intuit, QuickBooks, ProAdvisor, ProPartner, Xero, Wave, FreshBooks, OpenAI, Anthropic, Stripe, or any accounting software vendor. This privacy page does not change the product terms: the kit provides planning prompts and templates only, and buyers remain responsible for checking official vendor terms and using qualified professional advice before firm, client, accounting, tax, payroll, legal, certification, migration, or financial decisions.
